DataItemize is inventory software for businesses that buy, sell, rent or repair physical things. It is built and run by Data Doodles Tech Pvt. Ltd., a software company in Baluwatar, Kathmandu.
Because it is made in Nepal, a few local details are built in: dates can be shown in Bikram Sambat, AD or both, and a business can value its stock in Nepalese rupees or any of the other currencies on offer.
How the product is put together
Four decisions shape almost everything in the app.
One engine, set up per trade
A hardware shop, a pharmacy and a rental yard run the same software. What differs is configuration: how items are counted, which fields and units they carry, and which modules are switched on.
Stock you can trace
Stock is never typed in as a number. Every receipt, sale, transfer, count and adjustment writes a line to a movement ledger that can’t be edited or deleted, and balances are worked out from it.
Each business kept apart
Every business’s data is separated on the server, and permissions are checked there as well as in the interface.
Limits written down
Each industry page says what DataItemize doesn’t do, and the help centre describes the product as it works today.
