Sales and point of sale
Quotes, orders, invoices, payments and returns, and how the POS screen works.
Point of sale
- Open Sales → Point of Sale. Choose the warehouse you are selling from.
- Scan a barcode or type to search (F2), or tap a product in the grid. Adjust quantity, price or discount % per line.
- Pick a customer, or leave it as Walk-in customer.
- Press Charge (F9). Enter amounts against one or more payment methods; Rest puts the remaining balance on a method. Tendered and change due are shown.
- After the sale, choose Receipt to print it or New sale to continue.
Holding a sale
Hold parks the current cart so you can serve someone else; resume it from the held list. Held carts are stored in that browser on that device.
Quotes, orders and invoices
Sales → Orders holds quotes and sales orders. A quote can be sent, accepted and confirmed as an order; confirmed orders reserve stock. Invoice an order, or create an invoice directly under Sales → Invoices. Issuing an invoice that would take a customer over their credit limit is refused.
Payments
Use Record payment on an invoice. Invoices move to partially paid or paid automatically, and Sales → Payments lists every payment with the documents it was applied to.
Returns
Sales → Returns records goods coming back, with an option to put them back into stock.
Printing
Invoices and receipts open in a print view and use your browser’s print dialog. There is no built-in PDF export; most browsers can save the print as PDF.
